Draconic Constructs are the fully programmable beings made and sold by Ex Draconis. They are genetically grown to suit a specific function and classical element. Each elemental type has a personality, powers and appearance that will reflect the stereotypical connotations of the element itself. Whilst these Draconic Constructs will normally appear almost Human (some types have wings and/or a tail), they are able to transform into a variety of Dragons depending upon the element. Experiments with new, Metallic varieties of Draconic Constructs resulted in the creation of Aureum and Argentum as the first prototypes to gain consciousness. However, Ex Draconis never managed to fully stabilize them, so Aureum and Argentum are slowly disintegrating. They were kept in stasis most of the time to slow down this process. However, a major buyer of Draconic Constructs ( The Imperium, an empire that spans the Multiverse), has agreed to scientific research and testing on a stabiliser for the prototypes. Currently Aureum is acting as a performance test by the Imperium. It has come to light that the original designs for the Draconic Constructs came from an ancient, now dead, civilisation and adapted into their current modern formats. However a small portion of the originals remain on the floating city of Kion on the planet Ducati and are broadly termed Draken.

General Physiology & Biological Properties
Every Draconic Construct starts off with the same two components: the Biological Programmable Chip (BPC) and the Seed. The Seed is a nondescript group of manufactured cells, manipulated to respond to the output of the BPC. Before these two parts are merged, basic life support protocols and the blueprint for the physical body of the Construct are added to the BPC.
This combination of a Seed and a BPC is then put into a Growth Controller (called Cocoon) where it will mature within a year. The Element of the Construct is determined by the location the Cocoon. If placed in water, the resulting construct will be of the Water type, if put into a lake of lava, the result will be a Fire type et cetera. Ex Draconis has several facilities to provide the right circumstances. The Cocoon also creates a link with a pocket dimension where the Full Dragon shape of a construct is grown and makes sure the circumstances at the pocket dimension is exactly right. This pocket dimension has an exclusive link with one BPC.
After a year, the Construct is fully grown and represents in almost all aspects a living, breathing being. However, at this stage the construct is a mere shell. It has no skills, no personality. This will be added by adding several things called Personality Layers, basically plugin programs for the BPC through a neurological interface usually located in the neck, on top of the spine. These Personality Layers can add all kinds of skills and traits to the construct. However, this process can only be done once. Once written, the BPC shuts down all external connections, making it impossible for anyone to override their programming.
Races
Fire
The Fire Elemental Draconic Construct is a beautiful creature. Handsome and passionate, but also rash and short-tempered. They tend to take on the role of a leader in a social group and are never hesitant to share their opinion of things. Serial number range: ExD-FED-xxxx
Appearance
The Fire Elemental, both male and female, usually has 'the perfect figure' for each gender and is considered the most beautiful (for females) or handsome (for males) of the elemental types. Hair colour varies from bright red an orange to brown. Skin colour varies from white with red freckles to slightly tanned. Eye colour varies from bright red to orange to brown. Fire elements always have a small set of wings and a long, rather firm red or orange scaled tail in human shape.
Personality
A Fire elemental type is usually very passionate about his/her work and will go to great extents to keep his/her owner happy. Being a natural leader, the Fire element is charismatic and quick to smile. However, the fire burning inside them also has a couple of drawbacks: they're short-tempered, tend to take hasty decisions and are easily made jealous. They also have the tendency to become too enthusiastic about things.
Powers & Talents
Fire Elements are usually highly fire-resistant, but deal very badly with cold. In their human shape they have a little control over fire, but not much more than creating a fire to light a cigarette. Fire Elements are highly suited for all kinds of jobs, ranging from jobs where only a 'pretty face' is needed like in a shop or as a host(ess). Due to the fact that these constructs usually really like being around people and naturally prefer a certain amount of intimacy with people, these constructs are also used as courtesans.
Full Dragon Shape
The (optional) full dragon shape of a Fire element type is a big and bulky dragon standing on its hind legs. Their wings are just big enough for them to fly but it cannot hover in mid-air. Sizes vary form 10-20 meters with a wingspan double that length. ((For visualisation: it should look somewhat like a t-rex with wings)) As a dragon, they're fully fire resistant and can dive into molten lava without even getting a slight burn. As an optional extra, a devastating fire breath ability can be enabled.
Water
The Water Element Draconic Construct is a true social chameleon, knowing when to adapt and how. They're smart, flexible and highly alert to social signals. Unfortunately, that also means they're manipulative and quite often try to find the edges of what their owner does and doesn't allow. Serial number range: ExD-WED-xxxx
Appearance
Water elemental types, though far from ugly, usually don't have really striking features and can come over as even being slightly androgynous. This way, they can work with both genders without people getting jealous at their looks. Hair colour varies from dark brown to ink black. Skin colour varies from Indian to almost a greenish black. Eye colour varies from dark greens and blues to brown. Water elements have a small stubby dark blue scaled tail, which can be hidden underneath loose fitting clothing.
Personality
The Water element knows what (s)he wants and knows how to get it. Due to the ever-changing flows of the water, they're true social chameleons, adapting their behaviour as needed. They're always friendly and always polite. However, their true personality is not often shown, and if it does, then the water forces its way through even the toughest of rocks, eroding them until the path is open for the river to flow. The Water element is the only construct coming close to defying their owners and doing it on purpose.
Powers & Talents
Water Elements have superior control over water even when a basic model is created. They do not need to breathe under water, but are easily hydrated and need multiple litres of water a day. Usually they're used for highly social jobs requiring a lot of knowledge about the psyche like psychologists, salespeople, investigators et cetera. As an optional extra, a Water element can change shape to a similar body, but from the other gender.
Full Dragon Shape
When looking at the (optional) Full Dragon shape of the Water Element, one thing immediately becomes clear: they're made to live in the water. Their 30-meter long elongated bodies have no wings, have flippers instead of legs and a set of gills opening up from behind their jaws. ((Visualisation: a plesiosaur with a dragon's head)) When in this shape, they have full control of the water, which (with the proper optional add-ons) can range from creating giant waves and water spouts that can punch a fighter plane straight out of the air to creating whirlpools and downright splitting of bodies of water.
Ice
The Ice Elemental Draconic Construct is cool and calculating and never let emotions get the best of him/her. They're highly intelligent, determined and rational, but find it hard to feel emotions end even harder to display it. They also tend to lack creativity. Serial number range: ExD-IED-xxxx
Appearance
Ice element types are usually long and slender and always have a cold, stern look in their eyes. Hair colour is usually a variant of blue, from ice blue to deep blue. Skin colour varies from white to an almost translucent blue. Eye colour varies from green to blue. Varieties with completely white eyes have been registered as well. In Human shape, they always have a small pair of wings and a long, slender blue-scaled tail.
Personality
The Ice element always tries to take the most optimal path towards their goal. The unbreaking ice of their element allows them to stay rational in even the direst of situations, allowing them to make the right decision whenever necessary. Unfortunately, this ice is also around their heart, making them lack emotions and shun social interaction. Still, no matter the order, they will never disobey their owner, even if it means going out into public.
Powers & Talents
Ice elements can freeze a glass of water in a matter of seconds. They're completely immune to cold but start to feel uncomfortable with temperatures above room temperature. Usually they're used as scientists or laboratory workers. Sometimes , even though they do not like social interaction, an Ice element is used as a physician, because of their superior diagnostic abilities.
Full Dragon Shape
The (optional) full dragon shape of the Ice element looks the most like a 'standard' European dragon, with 20 meter long elongated white and blue scaled bodies, large wings and a long tail. They truly look and act majestic, every move carefully planned out. Everything they touch is left with a small layer of frost. Optionally, a freezing breath can be enabled that can nearly instantly freeze a small lake solid.
Air
The Air Elemental Construct is easygoing and carefree. Going where the wind blows them, they can be a fresh breath of air for any project. They're creative and spontaneous, but usually have a serious case of ADD or ADHD. Serial number range: ExD-AED-xxxx
Appearance
Air Element types are usually thin and wiry, sometimes even looking slightly sickly. Hair colour is usually blonde to white in colour. Skin colour is usually white, but in some cases can even be slightly yellow. Eye colour varies from green to blue. Varieties with completely white eyes have been registered as well. They look human in all aspects. No wings, no tail.
Personality
Air elements are true airheads, never taken aback by whatever challenge they might find. That doesn't mean they're dumb though. On the contrary, they are the most creative of all elemental types, often leading the winds of change. Unfortunately, they're also airheads in a different way. Quickly distracted and sometimes not even having the decency to ask permission from the owner before disassembling his or her power suit, the Air element can be quite a bother from time to time. Of course they will fully reassemble it with added features at no extra cost.
Powers & Talents
Air Elements have the ability to control air, allowing them to hover in the air even in human form and enabling them to protect themselves from explosions, as the blasts are simply lead around them. Being the most creative of the elemental types, this power actually comes in handy form time to time when yet another invention decides to blow up. Air elements are usually employed as innovation researchers or artists.
Full Dragon Shape
The Full Dragon shape of the Air Element resembles an over 40 meter long Chinese-style white-coloured dragon. Twisting and turning in the air, their long, thin bodies never stand still. They can hover in mid air (if they ever stand still, that is) and can use the wind as a means of amplification of their voice. They can also manipulate the wind to shoot blasts of air towards any target needed levelling.
Earth
The Earth Elemental Construct is unrelenting and relaxed. They're strong, calm and will never falter. However, their minds tend to be a bit slow and they're really not the talkative type. Serial range: ExD-EED-xxxx
Appearance
Earth Element types are usually big, bulky and muscular, from highly athletic to a downright bodybuilder look. Hair colour is mostly brown to black. Skin colour varies from deeply tanned to brown. Eye colour can be either brown or green. Yellow-eyes versions have been reported as well. They too look human in all aspects. No wings, no tail.
Personality
The Earth Element is really dependable and loyal. No job too heavy for their awe-inspiring strength, they always do what they're supposed to do to satisfy their owners. Being a brawn-over-brains type, the Earth Element is not the brightest of the bunch, though they're usually not dumb, but they just have their own pace, which usually is a bit slower than your average person.
Powers & Talents
The main selling point of the Earth Element is its brute strength. Able to lift inhuman amounts of weight, even when in human shape, no job is too tough for them. Their bodies are reinforced as well, making them more resilient against any form of impact. Optionally, they can shape any body of earth any way they want to, just by touching it, making them excellent tunnellers.
Full Dragon Shape
The Full Dragon shape of the Earth Element immediately stands out in one thing. It immediately becomes clear why they're nicknamed 'walking mountains'. They're truly colossal, standing a massive 50 yard high and with bodies with a diameter of 100-150 meters, they're not something to be ignored. Their tortoise-like bodies have heavy plating on the side and top, almost like a tortoise's shell. Some dragons are even known to have trees living on top of them. Optionally, they can sense every single being standing on the ground in a diameter of about 8 kilometres.
Gold
The Gold Metallic Dragon, with its majestic appearance and golden locks, is truly exotic. It's almost statuesque appearance reveals little of its almost wild personality. Serial range: ExD-GMD-xxxx / ExD-MDP-0001 (prototype)
Appearance
The Gold Metallic's humanoid form almost looks like a statue, with its unnatural golden skin colour and golden hair. They also weigh about as much as a statue, even though they usually appear quite thin and lithe. Fortunately, their levitation powers allow them to tread lightly, their feet barely touching the ground. Their eyes are bright yellow. When idle, no wings or tail are visible. When using a lot of power, they sometimes display a highly abstract holographic projection of wings behind their body.
For now, due to the experimental nature of the construct, they need all sorts of stabilizing equipment and most of it is needed around the brain and the spine. This resulted in a helmet-like device, regulating the power of the Construct. Though the exact shape of the helmet is not fixed, it usually covers most of the head, leaving only the mouth free and is usually decorated with wings.
Personality
The appearance of the Gold Metallic Construct is completely different from its personality. While they look calm and composed from a distance, their true nature is nothing like that. Inside the Gold Metallic Construct rages a fire that cannot be put out. They have the tendency to have very extreme emotions and display them immediately after. Still, their whimsical personality also results in them bearing no grudges and won't allow them to be angry at someone for too long.
Powers & Talents
Gold Metallics are all able to levitate, though they usually prefer to walk normally, with the assistance of levitation so that their two-tonne bodies appear almost like a normal human when walking around. As an optional extra, jets can be added to the body, which allow them to accelerate amazingly quickly.
All Gold Metallics can also change the shape of various parts of their body, as long as the total mass stays the same. Arms can change into knives or hammers or even blowtorches if enough energy has been stored.
Since they're a relatively new product, new features and applications are still found and/or made. Since their Full Dragon Shapes do not require them to breathe, they're usually used for high-altitude missions and missions in space. Because of their golden bodies, they're also suitable for being a bodyguard. As long as the person needing protecting can accept its personality.
Full Dragon Shape
The Metallic Constructs all have a full dragon shape with two forms. For the Gold Element, one of them is a golden dragon made out of all sorts of metal parts, making almost look like half-robots. Their wings have large fans in them to provide lift and they can fire beams of highly concentrated light which can burn through almost everything. The other form is an even more stylized one, resembling more a jet plane based on a dragon then the other way around. (( Inspiration: Concorde )). Large jets sprout form the back, making them reach dazzling speeds and even allowing them to get to outer space.
